Over his career as an attorney, he has represented clients in personal injury, criminal, maritime, property issues, contracts and various other types of disputes. He knows where the Courthouse is and has conducted trials  in New York and Florida.


Michael N. Lygnos has been an attorney since 1986. He is a 1974 graduate of Bayside High School (Queens, NY). He graduated from the  U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (KIngs Point, NY) in 1978, and was a licensed Merchant Marine Officer. He worked aboard ships and ashore in management in the maritime industry before attending law school. He graduated from Valparaiso School of Law (Valparaiso, IN) in 1986. He sat and passed four State Bar Exams, specifically: Florida, New York, Indiana, and Connecticut. He has practiced law on both coasts of Florida as well as in New York City and the surrounding jurisdictions, including Connecticut. We continue to take maritime cases venued in Miami-Dade and Broward County, Florida. Mr. Lygnos is admitted to practice in the following Federal Jurisdictions: Middle District of Florida, Southern District of Florida, Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, Northern District of Indiana, Southern District of Indiana and the District of Connecticut.
